Punk originated in the 1970's as a raucous, irregular uprising against common current of music charted by the number or sales. Rock ensambles alike Green Day, Iggy Pop, and Rancid boosted punk back in the 90's . This time the blend of speedy, simple as soap rock with rhytmic popular melodies stayed on the TV. Today, self-styled punk pop is the main piece of puzzle in the world of mainstream pop music. These 10 tracks are the best place to start from to grasp punk pop.

1. blink-182 - Enema of the State

In blink-182's inexhaustible attempt to diminish any grown ups in the locality, that tape featured a model clothed as an enema nurse on the cover. The music inside is teenage and catchy with the massive hit single “Mutt.”

4. Green Day - American Idiot

After retreating from their 90's peak of popularity, Green Day declined to the studio to put together punk's 1st opera. 5. The Lemonheads - It's a Shame About Ray

6. The Offspring - Killboy Powerhead

Offspring a highly influential American rock bandfrom California were one of the devoted punk renascence bands from the mid-90's. 7. Rancid - Journey To The End Of The East Bay

Rancid sounds a lot like late 70's classic punk bands as the Clash. They also use the of street punk in almost all of their music.

This Canadian group appeared in the spotlight in 2002 with their album When I'm With You. This second record album is much better and includes the hit single “Meet You There.”

9. Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler
